Tea Time!

                                                                                         (click for larger view)
I love tea!  (And coffee, but that's another painting.) I often think that if I would drink more tea, I would eat fewer snacks!  And there's just something sophisticated and civilized about a cup of tea.  Did you know that Darjeeling is considered "the champagne of teas"?

I was inspired to post this by Shirley's beautiful tea party.  Please take a look!

  1. Another one of your beautiful compostions Krista! I love the colors and how you pay such special attention to detail and the lettering. I did not know that Darjeeling is the champagne of teas, I haven't had that in ages, must try it again. I did know that Earl Grey is flavored with Bergamot, so that must be the fruit you have in that section. My favorite is Chi - maybe if I up the cups I would eat less? Worth a try! Shirley's tea party is awesome, she hit a nerve!

  2. YOU ROCK, sister! This is lovely!! I am just standing up and applauding. I don't know how you do this so darned swiftly and so beautifully. Look at all of those details..the berries, the steam, the multiple teacups for Oolong..brilliant! It could be an ad for a Tea company..really it could. OH my goodness, thank you for mentioning my name and tea party..I'm glad we are "sisters in Tea" : ) Ha! And Susan is so kind above..thank you Susan, too. I did not know that Darjeeling was the "champagne o' teas"...very interesting. I did get to experience "High Tea" in Victoria, B.C. at the Empress..now that was quite the experience! This is such a treat for me to see, Krista. Awesome! : ) Now to make a cup!
