Back at ya, Jack!

I'm so lucky!  Jack Foster sent me an autographed copy of Poodle and Doodle!  Thanks, Jack!

Maya says, "I love it!"

(I know, I sooooo ripped off your idea!  How could I not?)

The Buzzing Beehive

I've been a busy worker bee lately!  In addition to my first priority, (artwise), which is continuously creating new art for licensing through Two Town Studios, I've put up a little Zazzle shop and Spoonflower gallery. (The Spoonflower designs will be available for sale shortly.)  Check out the buttons on the right sidebar.

End of Summer Apples

I entered this little ditty in the contest over at Spoonflower.  What fun to spend an afternoon playing with crayons!

Illustration Friday-- Clumsy

Do we really know HOW Humpty fell off the wall?  Was he just plain clumsy, or was there something more?

Remember this Sue and Debra??  Ah, so long ago, those Moore days! (Thanks, Scott, for braving the wilderness of the attic to find this!)

Tea Time!

I love tea!  (And coffee, but that's another painting.) I often think that if I would drink more tea, I would eat fewer snacks!  And there's just something sophisticated and civilized about a cup of tea.  Did you know that Darjeeling is considered "the champagne of teas"?

I was inspired to post this by Shirley's beautiful tea party.  Please take a look!

Illustration Friday-- Wilderness

An assortment of wilderness images.  The dog sled team and the ice climber are very tiny, each about 2 inches tall.

According to Genesis, Noah, his family and the animals were confined to the ark for about a year!  Phew!

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2010, a new start!  I love New Year's Day, when I decide, every year, to be a new person.  There's just something about a new year, a new month, or just a Monday that inspires me to want to do better.  And, of course, being a human, I never quite make it.  But that's just it, I AM a human, and I will never be quite what I was created to be this side of eternity.  However, I can, with God's help, grow towards that, and that growing is worth the striving.

So, in addition to taking better care of my earthly self (this body isn't going to get any younger-- a condition my doctor sister-in-law diagnoses as TMB, Too Many Birthdays!) I am choosing two of my favorite verses to keep in the front of my mind this year:

He has showed you, O man, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.  Micah 6:8

and:

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18.

Blessings to you in 2010!

(This art is just a portion of an alphabet that's all about family.  It's on it's way to the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market in a week!)
