IF-- Toy

A dragon lives forever, but not so little boys,
Painted wings and giants' rings make way for other toys,
One gray night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more,
And Puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar...

Puff the Magic Dragon by Leonard Lipton and Peter Yarrow

Here's another one from waaaaay back in my college days.  I'd love to repaint it someday, but like Jackie Paper, I've got lots of other things to do now

  1. Do you know this song makes me cry every time i hear it? Oh and this illustration is just so sweet with the dark colors, i like the feel of it. Poor Puff! I love this Krista! (my kids and I used to sing this when they were little and it still brings a tear to my eye!)

  5. Wow! This is so cool Krista! A little deviation from your swirls, patterns, patches and designs. I could see this in a kid’s book. So perfect my friend! Great angle and fantastic color choices. I love Puff!

  11. I love the dragon and how you worked with a lighter outline in this piece instead of black line
